Scheduled Tasks

Overview

Jeanette can schedule tasks to execute at a specific time or on a recurring basis. When a scheduled task runs, Jeanette has access to all her tools — web search, email, calendar, connectors, image generation, and more. She completes the task and sends you the result.

One-time tasks

You: In 3 hours, remind me to call the electrician.

Jeanette: I've set a reminder for 3 hours from now — I'll message you at 2:30pm.

You: On Monday at 9am, search for the latest news on the FTSE 100 and send me a summary.

Jeanette: Scheduled. I'll run that search on Monday morning and send you the results.

Recurring tasks

Jeanette supports complex recurrence patterns using natural language.

You: Every weekday morning at 7:30am, pull my calendar for the day, check my emails, and send me a morning briefing.

Jeanette: Done — daily briefing scheduled for weekdays at 7:30am. It'll start tomorrow.

You: Every first Monday of the month, draft a summary of last month's project updates based on my email and send it to me for review.

Jeanette: Monthly summary scheduled for the first Monday of each month.

You: Every hour during business hours (9am–6pm weekdays), check if there are any new orders in my Shopify store.

Jeanette: Hourly order check scheduled for business hours, Monday to Friday.

Timezone awareness

Jeanette uses your configured timezone for all scheduling. Set it once in your profile and she'll handle DST automatically.

You: Schedule this for 8am Tokyo time.

Jeanette: I've scheduled that for 8am JST (which is 11pm UK time). It'll run tonight.

Managing scheduled tasks

Listing tasks

You: What tasks do I have scheduled?

Jeanette: You have 3 scheduled tasks: (1) Daily morning briefing — weekdays 7:30am, (2) Weekly blog draft — Tuesdays 9am, (3) Monthly expense summary — 1st of each month.

Cancelling a task

You: Cancel the weekly blog draft task.

Jeanette: Done — that task has been cancelled.

Updating a task

You: Change my morning briefing to 8am instead of 7:30am.

Jeanette: Updated — your morning briefing will now run at 8am weekdays.

Scheduled tasks have the same capabilities as a regular Jeanette conversation:

Approval workflows

Jeanette can draft something and wait for your approval before sending:

You: Every Tuesday at 9am, draft a blog post based on the week's top AI news and send it to me for approval before publishing.

Jeanette: I'll draft the post each Tuesday and send it to you here. Just reply "approve" to publish, or give me edits.
